2007 MUSEUM EVENT
GALA DINNER
MUSICAL SOIRÉE
"Every profession has its unsung heroes and heroines: the museum discipline, and the professionals who work within it, are no exception." -Bruno Servaege, Founder, The Tube
This statement was declared by Mr. Servaege due to his extensive work with and beside museum professionals, who have deepened his understanding and appreciation of their individual and collective contributions to our society.
Mr. Servaege's expertise is primarily research and marketing oriented and, to his surprise, he discovered that scant effort has been geared toward offering museum professionals a bona fide event that recognizes the impact their work has on tourism, cultural identification and preservation, access through mobility of exhibitions, and in technology and scholarly publication.
Chagrined and seeing a gap, Mr. Servaege conceptualized and established the very first annual event for museum professionals in 2005. In keeping with artistic standards and cultural sensibilities, the event was held in Amsterdam at the respected five-star Amstel Hotel, a fitting venue in which to fete those "museum professionals who, one cannot deny, help to create a significant amount of jobs that are profitable for every layer of business in Holland."
Accordingly, The Tube is hosting its third Museum Event and is pleased to announce that this year features a seated dinner in Amsterdam at the lovely Amstel Hotel, as well.
In addition to the four-course feast and guest speakers, at a selected museum location in Amsterdam the day before, the Musical Soirée represents an 'art-form party' designed for a select gathering. Influential persons with a vested interest in the museum community --museum professionals, entrepreneurs, sponsors, community supporters -- will be present. Uniting these parties for enjoyment and relationship-fostering is good for visitors, tourists, and business, and The Tube is bringing them together for an unforgettable event.
Presenting the memorable event. The Musical Soirée is an innovative experience for talented musicians taking the spotlight to introduce their works in an inspiring and creative environment. New composers in the Avant-Garde, Opera, and Gregorian genres are on the agenda, with their unique performances being held at a distinct Amsterdam museum, a generous partner in supporting this artistic exploration.
We look forward to your joining us.
